My ‘little’ Grace is growing up and for her 10th birthday, she wanted a cake to reflect all her various interests, especially dance! On the sides, we also put fondant decorations to show her love for art, music and even, (gasp!) school! I wonder what Grace will love ten years from now?
Pink Hat
My Leah’s 9th birthday cake, using homemade modeling chocolate (thanks for the tip, Jose’!). She loves pink, as you can see! I used actual wicker to get the texture on the pink hat, and brushed on edible brown powdered paint to give the hat more definition. Underneath was a yummy chocolate butter cake with cookies and cream filling, one of Leah’s favorites.
Chapel

Peacock
Danielle’s 18th birthday cake had to be something special….and this peacock took the cake! I lost count of the feathers (at least 50) and I used modeling chocolate for the peacock’s body. We used some of the extra feathers to decorate the table.
