My all time favorite cake design, ever! We had just adopted our younger three and Josh was turning 12. I wanted to do something to make him feel special, as he was no longer the ‘baby’ in our family. He was at a local kids camp on his birthday, so I made arrangements to bring this creation to camp to share with everyone…about 150 people! The idea for the cake just came to me one day…a piece of sod, dug up, with dirt, rocks and worms, and grass and weeds on top, with Josh’s name spelled creatively, out of his favorite things. The sock, snake, sign, dandelions, and insects are all fondant….it’s a real donut and candy bars, of course!
